System design as comics. Same scrappy cast, every issue.
I'm an engineer. I love building things. I have also read the same system-design chapter four times and retained it for roughly one bus ride.
Turns out that is not a me problem. A wall of text gives your brain one lonely path to file an idea under, and ideas filed under one path tend to ghost you the second a recruiter says the words 'consistent hashing.'
Pictures plus a story hand it two paths instead. Psychologists call this dual coding and the picture superiority effect. Your brain calls it 'oh, THAT guy, I remember him.'
So here, every concept gets a cast you actually recognise and a plot you can replay in the shower. The goal is shamelessly practical: still remember it at the whiteboard six months later, while the interviewer slowly nods.
Built by an engineer who got tired of relearning the same five concepts on a loop.
